Trap and Field's Around the ATA article from the Atlantic Provinces ATA Delegate
August 2024
Hello from the Atlantic Provinces.
The Atlantic Provinces ATA provincial shoot is just around the corner. Visit www.shootatlantic.com for the latest information, a shoot program and hotel information.
This month’s article focuses on what you, as a shooter, can do to help those staffing the registration and classification desk at this year’s shoot, or any registered shoot for that matter.
Firstly, read the shoot program and know what events and options you would like to sign up for. Deciding at the registration desk is not the best use of everyone’s time.
Are you a category shooter or not sure? Check the ATA rulebook for the category types and age limits. It is the shooter’s responsibility to declare a category at registration.
Have you presquadded? If you have not, please do so. It helps reduce registration times and lightens the load for the already overworked volunteers on the registration desk.
Need to renew your ATA membership? Renew now online at www.shootata.com. It only takes a few minutes and helps reduce the workload for the registration desk staff.
And lastly, do you have an up-to-date average card? You can print your average card by logging into your My ATA account on shootata.com. Keep in mind that shooters are required to present an up-to-date average card with their most recent scores noted. This ensures that the handicapper has all the information needed to accurately classify you.
Good luck at this year’s shoot.
