Trap and Field's Around the ATA article from the Atlantic Provinces ATA Delegate

Entry: December 2020

December, 2020

Hello from the Atlantic Provinces.

It seems like trapfields around the Atlantic Provinces have been quieter than usual this fall. It’s not from the lack of interest though. The great fall weather and above average temperatures has a lot of our shooters out in their backyards or countryside hunting, picking wild berries and enjoying the outdoors before winter sets in.

The Petitcodiac Sportsman’s Club held their 5th Annual Team Trap Shoot on October 25 with teams from the host club and nearby Moncton Gun Club participating. The friendly club competition was well attended and saw the Petitcodiac Sportsman’s Club post the winning team score. Congratulations to winning team members Dan Boudreau, Glen Chamberlain, Paul Devereaux, Roger Legere and Darren Pain.

Looking forward to next year, some key shoot dates have already been set for the 2021 target year.

The Highland Gun Club in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia will host the 2021 Atlantic Provinces ATA Provincial Shoot August 29 to September 1. Shoot information will be posted on shootatlantic.com as details are finalized.

On the national scene, the 2021 Canadian Trapshooting Championships are scheduled for June 23 – 27, 2021 at the Edmonton Gun Club in Edmonton, Alberta. More information will be posted on the Canadian Trapshooting Association’s webpage (shootcanada.ca) and on the Edmonton Gun Club’s (edmontongunclub.com) webpage in the coming months.
