Hello from the Atlantic Provinces.

Nova Scotia shooter Aubrey Spinney was the April subject of our Shooter Profiles on Aubrey is well-known for his generosity and willingness to lend a helping hand, and is the energetic member that every club and shooting association needs to have in their ranks to be successful. Aubrey was one of the driving forces behind the very successful 2018 Atlantic Provinces shoot held at his home club – the Highland Gun Club in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia. Aubrey’s comments to me when asked about his most memorable shooting moments left me thinking about why we love this sport so much. Visit to read all about Aubrey.

I have some sad news to regrettably report from the Atlantic Provinces this month. Newfoundland shooter Francis McNeil suffered a heart attack on April 24 and later passed away. Francis was an avid member of the St. John’s Rod and Gun Club and started registering ATA targets in 1985. He loved to shoot and was one of the first shooters I met at the St. John’s Rod and Gun Club. You’ll be missed Francis. Our  condolences to the McNeil family.
